As Siddhartha was leaving his royal life behind for that of a wandering mendicant, he removed his fine clothing and gave them to his servant Channa. He then cut off his long hair. I believe his long hair was a symbol of his royal status. Sonam:

Especially, the prayer section was worth going through. As, i was reading the prayers, i came across Bodhisattva Vow.If, anyone could explain more about it.that would be wonderful.Also got some few queries stated below : (i)I would like to know, whether this vow is to be taken from a rinpoche or anyone can just do it at home by reciting this vow as a daily prayer?
