I was told about this a few days after this happened and I have read this post a few times. Every time I go into the Mani Jewel I think of Ani Palchen. I remember at one empowerment, while everyone was settling in she was walking out of the room and I could see how present in the moment she was. It is a very vivid image in my mind, it was not an extrodinary display but it moved me in a real way. I am still so happy for her.

Greetings. Love to hear a contemporary account of this "incorruptibility" which had been described in the West among Christian Saints and Jewish Kabbalistic Masters (Rabbis), as well as for the monk Yogananda Paramahansa of the Swami order who taught in the West. It is not the only kind of miraculous sign I have heard of from Tibetan lineages, but is very appealing and a true miracle since there is no accounting in biology for the absence of cell death which would cause odors and color changes to begin. Something is sustaining these "corpses" at a cellular level, despite the departure of what the faithful call the subtle body. This is wonderful. Next time be sure to have it documented by respected outsiders of your movement, if your tradition allows this.

Lord Buddha said, Buddhism has no ownership. Any sentient being who practice with faith and devotion will go with miracle signs. Ani Pachen is one such example. She was a devoted follower of His Holiness Palnor Rinpoche and Jetsuma. We should rejoice in her accomplishments and practice well.

Sangye Rinchen:
Ani Palchen was a devoted student of Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, and lived 21+ years as a nun following the wisdom guidance of Jetsunma. Her activity may have appeared ordinary -- helping to run the Temple gift store, offering kindness and book or girt suggestions to customers, cutting vegetables for meals for the dogs who are her Lama's pack, walking around the Temple grounds.

For more on her practice and the power of Guru devotion, perhaps you want to read the teaching from Jetsunma - "Coming Home" http://www.tibetanbuddhistaltar.org/2010/02/coming-home/

I remember Jetsunma saying from the throne during a teaching (and please forgive me, I'm paraphrasing, but I remember it well), that in these dark times it's more difficult to become enlightened during ones lifetime, but after death there is a short period of time before you go into the bardo that you are aware of your true nature.

She stated that as our root Lama she will be there to help us make that transition during that moment. "That's what I do." She said she'd found a way to liberate more beings with her great compassion.

But she did say we have to have enough merit for her to do that. And with the intention for ALL beings liberation.

What a miraculous and compassionate Lama we have indeed. To be here with her is....there are no words big enough. L2JAL

At first tears came to my eyes -- and I thought WOW, I know her. What a sweet person. I loved our exchanges -- her perkiness and immediate desire to help. Cheerful and serene, that is how I encountered her. I realize my tears are joy, not sad. She is home!

I read what the three Ani's wrote, and their report really hit deeply home for me. Well, I know miracles personally! More than once. From what I read, yes, I agree, this was a miracle.

This knowing is also humbling because -- even though I have faith, and devoted, and I practice, I realize I have not really been "aware" of Jetsunma as root guru. I feel a great "OH." Sometimes I have to see and touch before something so magnificent and precious becomes real for me. This experience is like that. Thank you for being you and being true.

All at once, I am breathing differently and taking this in.
