Fun is coming your way today, and you’re ready for it. Dress up and represent yourself and all you stand for; be aware that your appearance is persuasive so make the most of yourself. Jim Clotfelder spoke of a woman who was so beautiful that, “All she had to do was show up, and everybody was on board!” The energy is so strong today that if people don’t get moving, they’ll become antsy and possibly aggressive. An absolutely electrifying communication causes you to fly out of your chair and blast off to do something. Of course you can just sit there, but why? You’ve been summoned for a good cause, one that you’ve considered previously, and it’s making a second pass in your direction. Accept, or forever hold your peace. Thomas Nash said, “You never get any fun out of things you’ve never done.” It’s very important to avoid brand new things today since Mercury’s retrograde, so be careful about a prospect you’ve never heard of before. “Don’t sign, don’t buy,” is the caution. It’s an especially bad time to purchase anything you expect to work – a car, a blender, a computer, any mechanical device. A man or friend offers good advice, and you are actually backing up into a good situation. This is an odd day, because of all the different strictures, but go ahead and enjoy yourself anyway!

Sudden bursts of emotion are likely, along with an increased awareness of suffering. Sad discoveries are possible, and at the same time increased perceptiveness catches troublemakers lurking in the background. Byrd Baggett said, “Always keep in mind that what others tell you is only the tip of the iceberg.” This is an excellent day to solve old health issues; visit the doctor, psychiatrist, or whatever health professional fits your complaint. Water plays a important role today, either in the weather or elsewhere. Fun with friends and groups continues, and everyone wants to talk. What’s good today? A setback or down feeling tells you it’s time to pull in, to give yourself some quiet moments. Creative momentum is in operation today, and two modes prevail. Your job is to take advantage of both. On one side, groups and friends open new vistas for you; on the other, an innovative breakthrough occurs that must be accomplished in private. A brilliant idea seems to come from nowhere, gets your creative juices flowing, and leads to fortunate longterm outcomes. Allow yourself to withdraw and let your ideas marinate and cook! Visualization, imagination and inner processes bring forth new worlds. Ignore rules (we aren’t talking about traffic rules here, use your common sense), and especially ignore anyone who makes fun of or judges what you are working on. Jim Rogers said, “If anybody laughs at your idea, view it as a sign of potential success.” If it seems everything is happening at once, it is! Hang in there.

A bit of news or a message is electrifying and brings great happiness during the course of the day. Someone urges you to expand your plan, to do MORE, and this you should not do. (Example: buy one goat, yes, buy 47, NO!). The problem lies in the unusualness of the times, which encourages excessive expansion. Friendships and groups are growing fast and things are changing. Your job is to accept the new without, a) getting rattled and trying to turn back the clock, or b) changing things that don’t need changing because you’re on a roll. Keep your head! George Sand said, “One changes from day to day-every few years one becomes a new being.” Respect the need to pull away from constant activity. If you feel unwell, take time to relax and recharge and you’ll be back in the game soon. What’s good today? Friends, groups, happiness, scientific inventions, and time spent with machines.

Change of scenery! Four planets in Aquarius reflect a new outlook on everything, one that’s intellectual and far thinking. Apply yourself to learning new things; you are in the process of building a stable future, one with possibilities that have been unavailable until now. Men and women are in sync, and important connections are being made. Groups are forming, where none existed before. Welcome, wholeheartedly, new people who show up wanting to join up. Accept all takers! Benjamin Franklin said, “Human felicity is produced not so much by great pieces of good fortune that seldom happen, as by little advantages that occur every day.” People organize themselves into leaders and group members, and that’s fine. On a different note, a tendency to stay home and indulge in escapist behavior – constant tv viewing, or worse – is also on the scene. If you do this, you’ll miss the boat and lose points with the group. Be active, and life is good.

Attend a parade! Join a group that acts in unison! Honor the past and those who have acted valiantly. Today is a combination of serious and silly, and your job is to determine which is which. Be respectful in situations requiring decorum and cut loose in fun places, but don’t mix them up. The desire to indulge in escapist behavior is strong, and there’s a danger of behaving inappropriately. Avoid people who are intoxicated or out of control in some way. Let the authorities deal with them. If this describes you, go home. Of course, you don’t want to and that’s the problem. Dostoyevsky said, “The cleverest of all, in my opinion, is the man who calls himself a fool at least once a month.” What’s good today? If you manage to stay out of jail, it’s a great day to enjoy friends, to dress up and celebrate, and to plan for the future.

Have a serious conversation with someone who has expectations of you, and find out what you need to do. Knowledge and organization matter today: make a list, follow it and you’ll be satisfied. If you move around aimlessly, you’ll be dismayed at the end of the day. A private conversation or meeting yields impressive results. If you’ve had nagging health problems, today marks a turning point for the better, provided you follow the course prescribed for you. Today is all about rules. In any given situation ask yourself, “What is the rule in this case?” Then follow it and you’ll be happy. Aristotle said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”
Behave conservatively in public, which won’t be easy given the goofy nature of the times, and things go well. Be respectful of people who are older or have many burdens. Help out where you can. What’s good today? Friends, fun and travel.

This is a wonderful day to enjoy friends and get togethers. A leader is magnanimous and makes everyone happy. A sense of spiritual uplift is all-pervasive, and enthusiasm about the future is palpable. Do make plans and put them into effect quickly, as Mercury goes retrograde on Jan 21, making forward action difficult. Plan now/act now, or else wait until Feb 11, when Mercury goes direct again. This is a wonderful time to expand your knowledge, to take on a new course of study. Learn tibetan? Memorize the laws of Peru? Go to graduate school? The more ambitious the undertaking, the greater the success. Give yourself time, and you’ll have a new skill set when you’re finished. Ben Stein said, “The indispensable first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: Decide what you want.” What’s good today? Friends, good will, confidence, and dressing up.

You have just dodged a bullet and are probably feeling pretty good about it. In the excitement, you can make a mistake out of an abundance of good will…write a love letter to Jerry Springer instead of your sweetie, etc. The tendency is to say, “So what, he’ll probably enjoy it,” but the mistake could be more serious. Take the wrong medication because the bottles look alike? This is serious, and you must pay attention. As the day progresses, a brilliant idea is introduced by a public figure or relative, one which if followed takes you in an exciting direction. It’s an excellent time to travel, to visit friends or groups, and to make long term plans. Albert Einstein said, “Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.” Leaders and men are feeling stodgy, worried and a bit stuck. This will pass in four days, so let it be. What’s good today? Enthusiasm about the future, happiness, and a go-for-it spirit that’s contagious.
