Politely ignore or redirect a person who’s behaving irrationally, in your opinion. Offer a snack and sympathy, but do not become engaged in a lengthy conversation; it’ll just get worse. Under no circumstances should you ask for a raise or complain to those in charge. Charles Baudelaire said, “Life is a hospital in which every patient wishes to change his bed. One prefers to be near the fire, another is certain he would get well if he were by the window.” What’s good today? Working with issues as they appear, happiness that isn’t dependent on an outcome, renewed energy and stable thinking. Love is nice, too!
