Theme: A Break in Routine

Uranus, the planet of sudden disruptions, is challenging our sense of purpose for 4 more days. If we can break our routine intentionally, aware of the intense need for change, we will be better off. Now the Moon joins the four-some of planets in Capricorn for 3 days. We should take time to intuit our feelings, as opposed to complete focus on achievement. Theme: No one will get your goat

Mercury is back in Capricorn, united with Pluto. Mars and Venus make it a four-some that can be “milked” for accomplishment. Our mental activity is strong and penetrating. Remember humility especially since Mercury is still retrograde. And with the Moon “squaring” Neptune in the middle of the day, we get caught in our fantasies. Theme: Subjective

The Sun and Mercury are tightly united today making it more difficult that usual to see things objectively. Our thinking is still enhanced for a few more days because Mercury is exalted in Aquarius, despite being retrograde. Our sense of purpose, the Sun, is troubled in Aquarius. We need to put friends and other groups of people ahead of ourselves. The movement of the Moon indicates that we are social and indulgent in the middle of the day, and we have extra patience and discipline in the evening. Theme: Passionate, then Rash and then Peaceful

Theme: From Tension to Excitement

Thankfully the hard angle between Saturn, conventional, practical approaches, and Uranus, eccentric and sudden energy, is done. Now Venus harmonizes with Uranus until the second week in February. Relationships started now will be volatile and short lasting. Expect the unexpected with money as well. Jupiter continues to be in a strong, central position in the unusually tight span of all the planets (1/3 of the sky). We should serve others, but not as a martyr. We should create some alone time to still the mind and gain wisdom. Theme: Secure yet Excitable

Theme: Creative or Destructive

For the next few days Pluto, the planet destruction and regeneration, is in a powerful position united with the Sun, our sense of purpose. It is likely that something will need repair, and someone may exert unreasonable power over you. Criminal activity comes to the surface now. The pace of activity is high for several more days, but Mercury retrograde leads to misunderstandings. The next 3 weeks is best for finishing old projects, research and retreat. Theme: A Square Meal

So think of a “square meal” literally: how it tastes will depend on what the square is made of. And that will depend on what you are made of: all the 90 degree angles between planets and involving the Moon can be frustrating or invigorating.
