The Moon enters the last quarter phase tomorrow signifying an opportunity to let go and release. This phase asks for authenticity and honesty. This clears the way for the new lunar cycle. Venus moves from Virgo to Libra in Thursday inviting a more engaged, social and balanced approach to relationships. More company is good company with Mercury sextile Venus. With Venus square Mars there is also more intensity in one to one relationships. On Sunday Mercury moves from private communications of Cancer into the more open and gregarious communication space of Leo. While the Sun continues in Leo for a few more weeks this is a time for being open, generous, engaged and authentic.

Theme: Changing moments

The Moon moves into Scorpio on Tuesday intensifying emotions and habits, but also providing more opportunity for self-inquiry. You can breathe a Mercurial sigh of relief this week as Mercury goes direct on Thursday unwrinkling the fabric of communication and providing more clarity and progress. The Sun moves into Leo on Wednesday ushering in a more extroverted month of play and creative activity. It’s also a time to show your leadership qualities. This period of time remains a big time in all its dimensions with Pluto opposite Jupiter. You can’t hide or run so learning to empower yourself to widen your horizons and enjoin with others for the common good. In this respect it’s a ‘seize the moment’ moment which can be transformational.

Theme: Closing phase

The Moon moves into it’s last quarter (waning) phase signifying a time of conscious letting go. This allows us to clear out out emotional detritus that hinders and blocks activity and feelings. It’s a time of reflection and going within. The Moon moves successively through Pisces into Aries (Monday), Taurus on Wednesday, Gemini on Friday and finally Cancer late Sunday ESDT USA. On Monday and Tuesday capitalize on the enthusiasm of the Aries moon to make progress. Taurus to consolidate, Gemini to communicate and finally, to nurture yourself and others (Cancerian Moon Sunday). Elsewhere Mars is pulling away from Uranus reducing instability. Jupiter has moved into Leo where expansion is found in creativity, play and a good sense of pride. However, Jupiter is also lining up in opposition to Pluto creating a potentially explosive quality. Restraint and timing are vital to harness this energy which brings up power struggles within and without.

Theme: Changing pace and space

The full moon energy is building towards Monday when it will reach it’s fullest at 7.57pm ESDT USA a few hours after Mercury turns Retrograde at 1.35pm. So it’s a good time to ensure, as much as possible, that any potential communication necessities are conducted mindfully beforehand, in preparation for this change. There’s a clear window now. On Monday it’s likely that any communication conundrums are magnified. So go slowly and check and re-read everything! This time requires forethought and insight into the dynamics of change. If you feel at risk of blowing your proverbial stack – wait till Tuesday when the lunar energy wanes.

Theme: Be prepared

Be prepared for anything right now and sudden shifts and movement. In other words expect the unexpected. Venus is trine Saturn so that augurs well for disciplined actions and thoughtful solutions within the limitations you find yourself in. Mercury goes retrograde in four days (29th at 1.35pm) so get ahead of the game and ideally sign off on contracts by 1pm tomorrow or second best, after 2.41pm before the Moon goes Void of Course. Mercury will turn stationary on the 29th so avoid contract signing on that day also.

The Solstice has just passed and the Sun has moved into Cancer stirring the pot of the past, for better or for worse. The new Moon has transitioned from Cancer and home concerns to Leo and the continuing search for a dignified pride that is not self-seeking.
