Workaholics unite, today is your day! Satisfaction comes from a job well done and keeping things in order is calming, which you need given the lightning-like pace of thinking and activity nowadays. Feel like you’re running a marathon? You are. Work is going well and thinking is lazer-like in focus and inventiveness. Thich Nhat Hahn said, “If we take something to be the truth, we may cling to it so much that even if the truth comes and knocks at our door, we won’t let it in. We must learn to transcend our own views.” Fortunately, the Sun and Neptune are in favorable aspect, meaning you can pretty much relax and zone out anywhere. Five minute cat nap, five minute meditation, and you’re good to go! Partnership is wonderful, talk is stimulating and financial matters go well.

Listen to every idea on the table without questioning the source because a surprising solution comes from a surprising direction, and it’s a good one. Rose Fyleman said, “There are fairies at the bottom of our garden!” Well, ok, if a fairie gives you special information use it, but keep your source confidential. This unusual day is chock full of opportunities provided you have the eyes to see them. Go shopping when you need a break, your secret confidante gives good purchasing advice. Mercury’s still retrograde; if it seems you’ve lost your mind it’ll come back soon!

Nostalgia appears today, drawing a bit of moodiness into the atmosphere. Story telling can wander into reminiscence. (“My mother baked wonderful pies!”). Use memory as a tool where appropriate, but let your meander through the past serve the present, not the past. Food is a good solution if you’re overtaken
by emotion: grumpy people need to eat and a light snack solves everything. Henry David Thoreau said, “A man may esteem himself happy when that which is his food is also his medicine.” What’s good? Brilliant intellectual interchanges, a go-get-em attitude and friendly potential partners. Just remember to bring a snack with you everywhere you go.

This is a great day to give a speech, teach a class or chat with everyone you know. People who talk or think for a living have over-the-top brilliance at their fingertips. Do remember to stick to your subject, however, if you veer off into other areas (“I’m here to discuss the irrigation system, but let me tell you about my dietary habits”) you’ll find yourself in trouble. The more you stay on message, the better things go, so focus. Rob Gilbert said, “It’s all right to have butterflies in your stomach. Just get them to fly in formation.” Use the bit of anxiety to improve your game. What’s good? A joyous attitude that makes everything seem like an adventure, exchange of ideas, brilliant thinking, and people on offer as potential partners. Wait a couple of days before making a final decision about new prospects.

Make a special effort to learn about new technological devices but don’t buy anything until May 3. A backward look is beneficial and something you were incapable of understanding in the past becomes clear. “Now I know what happened!” A Eureka moment. The past can be understood and rectified if you take a clear look from all sides. Ignore those who say it’s over, no need for review. Awareness helps you move forward. Helen Keller said, “I don’t want the peace which passeth understanding. I want the understanding which bringeth peace.” An unfavorable response to a communication warns you to stop talking and smile! This is a great day to go for a walk, a bike ride, a drive or a chat with friends. Bouncy energy is fun and everyone feels like socializing.

Happiness is back on the menu and a combination of intelligence and stability brings satisfaction. Mercury is still in retrograde, reminding you to file your taxes (“oops- forgot!”), renew your driver’s license and anything else that slipped right past you in the hubub of daily life. Pema Chodron said, “Just where you are-that’s the place to start.” A certain quickness and agility is present that allows you to work fast, walk fast and zip through projects. A last minute healing regimen handles a pesky problem, and love is in bloom.
