Theme: Mercurial moments

The Moon is in Gemini speeding up interactions and lightening encounters with others. It’s a time for messages to be sent and received. As the Moon approaches Jupiter expect more on your plate, and an expanded understanding of the bigger picture. Theme: Forensic skills

With Saturn continuing to trine Mercury there is a great opportunity to discipline and focus your mind on subjects pertaining to the past and family in its broadest sense. Mercury is such an adaptable planet it works productively with most planets, including the taciturn, disciplinarian Saturn. The Moon squares Uranus today adding even more unpredictability into an ever-changing landscape.

Theme: Sensitivities and Carapaces

With three planets in Cancer, inner subtle and sensitive feelings are evident, along with the nurturing qualities of that placement. The sign of Cancer, represented by the crab, has a carapace that both protects these sensitive innards and indicates a strong protectiveness towards others. The sign of Cancer also promotes the imagination and memory. With the Aquarian Moon passing over Pluto today dispassionate attention to emotions enables identification of outmoded patterns.

With the Moon close to full it’s a time for fulfilling activities and using the energy to to reach out and build connections with others. The Moon is moving into Sagittarius encouraging a more adventuresome spirit. The Sun is spending it’s final few days in Gemini so enjoy the continued pace of communication and connection. The Moon opposite Jupiter enables an expanded view of your situation.

On the occasion of Saga Dawa Duchen, a holy day that commemorates the birth, enlightenment and death (parinirvana) of the Buddha, Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo generously gifted each of her community of ordained nuns and monks with a new set of robes.

KPC’s resident Khenpo Tenzin Karze bestowed each set of robes on Jetsunma’s behalf and explained how the offering of clothing is auspicious for long life. He also gave a short teaching on the history and significance of Saga Dawa. To receive this gift from one’s root lama and on such a holy day is an immeasurable blessing.

Theme: Change

With the Sun inching closer to Uranus, expect some turbulence and re-adjustments. You will wish to break free of restrictions. There is a beautiful conjunction between the Moon and Jupiter today uplifting you and expanding your horizons. Of course the flip side is feeling stretched with a lot on your plate; only what’s on your plate is good! The Moon is also in good aspect to Saturn and Neptune today, bringing focus to daily tasks and providing spiritual insights.

Whenever we are about to read the news or discuss political issues, we could sit in silence for a few minutes to anchor ourselves in equality. Compassion and equity is the best medicine.~Anam Thubten

Theme: Ground Hog Day!

Well it is late for Ground Hog Day, or Wombat Day if you’re elsewhere, but with the Moon Void of Course for most of the day the small accomplishments become mighty. In other words don’t set out to do big things today. Venus has moved into Pisces bringing an emotional resonance and connectivity to others that has been missing. It’s really a time to find your compassionate heart, and understand the causes and conditions that produce specific outcomes.
