Theme: Irritable and Impulsive

The Moon and Mars are united for the first 2/3 of the day which means we can fly off the handle about something trivial. Take a deep breath, be patient and be kind. To make matters worse we are more likely to be confused because Neptune is at a right angle to the Sun. And our energy is still low but bolstered a bit by Mars in Capricorn. This is the last full day with the Sun in Sagittarius, so continue to focus on religion, philosophy and far off lands.

Theme: Low Energy Days

With the Sun square Neptune for a few days, we will have less energy than usual. This can be psychological discouragement as well. We should not expect to have the courage for bold action now. Deception is likely in relationships. The best strategy is to be realistic about any idealistic thinking that comes into our minds. Approach prayer, meditation and compassionate action this way.

Theme: Tapping into the soft heart

With Venus trine Chiron today it’s a day to tap into the quiet softer part of your nature and listen. Any restorative or nurturing of self today is more healing than usual. You are more likely to reach out to others who are going through a difficult time. The Moon in Sagittarius sits between Mercury and Venus today aiding communication needed for daily living and connecting with friends. Neptune sits on the cusp of the Pisces/Aries border and will move finally into Aries on January 26th. While it remains in Pisces it is at home – moving into Aries will bring a new paradigm but one that will not be ushered in smoothly.

Theme: Contemplation in Action.

Theme: Difficult and Unlucky

Our new astrological aspect for the next several days is the Sun square Saturn. This is traditionally difficult and seems unlucky. The central struggle is between self-gratification and our responsibilities towards others. Talking with others is better than making assumptions right now. It may not have to be so difficult after all. In the evening the Moon forms a yod with Uranus and Neptune. This is a potent time for prayer and meditation.

Theme: Balance, Harmony and Relationships

The Moon has entered Libra for a few days. We are looking for balance, harmony and beauty. In the second half of the day the Moon sextiles Venus, which bolsters our social life. The two things to watch out for is excessive passivity and over indulgence. Jupiter is retrograde but continues to harmonize with Saturn for two more weeks. This supports our long range goals, and favors business endeavors.

Theme: Religion, Philosophy, Long Distance Travel and Spirituality

The Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars are all in Sagittarius today ( along with the Part of Fortune and Juno). This gives us an upbeat energy and a focus on religion, philosophy and long distance travel. We are interested in the big picture. At the same time Mercury trines Neptune and the Moon opposes Neptune, especially in the middle of the day. This is a spiritual opportunity: so practice prayer, meditation and compassionate action while the iron is hot.
