Feeling pressed for time, as though you’re being squeezed from all sides? Relax, you are! The nice part is that the immediate squeeze ends today, and the better part is that your current project is well planned and will succeed IF you persevere. Yes old matters continue to need attention- the image of sweeping leaves in a windstorm is appropriate- they keep coming back! People feel moody and petulant, especially with those who are trying to please them; the nicer you are the crankier they get. Pass out creative jobs or detail-oriented work and watch the smiles! (“Please help me assemble a chair, collate papers, prepare dinner.”) Sitting around doesn’t cut it today, get busy! If you are the cranky party, activity solves everything. Food is next in importance; prepare are a lavish feast that takes
a long time to assemble, pass out snacks to everyone you meet. Water and liquids play a role in the day, stay well-hydrated and out of downpours. If it’s dry where you live, take a long shower or float around in the tub. Call your mother or someone who reminds you of home. Talk! Everybody has something to say about everything and the news is generally cheerful. This is the right day to ask for a favor or propose a partnership- provided you considered it in the past. Smile at everyone you see; your smile can change a life and go a long way to antidote the numerous irritations of the day. Mercury continues to travel in reverse, impelling everyone to revise, rework and redo things they thought were done. Indira Ghandi said, “There are two kinds of people; those who do the work and those who take the credit. Try to be in the first group; there’s much less competition.” Apply yourself to your work, as the best energy of the day involves plugging away at mundane, detail-oriented tasks. You’ll thank yourself later when you realize what you’ve accomplished. What’s good today? Changes for the better in leadership and policies, regeneration of things that need it (“My lizard lost it’s tail and grew a new one.”), and a gradual shift of such magnitude that you only realize later how much your life has improved. Nice. Wait out the indecision and redoing of things, a better time is heading your way!

Avoid trouble by postponing a request from an insistent person unless it’s an emergency (The house is on fire). The current challenge involves rank ordering your projects so you don’t become overwhelmed and run away, either mentally or physically. Be aware that the urge to escape is very, very strong. Henry D. Thoreau said, “Our life is frittered away by detail…Simplify, simplify.” Good advice for today. Choose a project, do it and then go relax. What’s good today? Eating a healthful diet that involves all the food groups, fun with pets, debates where you whole-heartedly argue both your side and the other side in such a way that expands your viewpoint, and time with a partner who pulls you away from pressure.

Got more things to think about than your brain cells can accommodate? So does everybody else and that’s the problem: tell someone your sad story and you’ll hear a longer, sadder story. The good news is that a hard-working optimist is in your corner, busily turning lemons into lemonade and difficulties into opportunities. Look to this person for counsel and try not to giggle as he/she obsessively alphabetizes problems, rank-ordering them and deciding which to solve first. Stay out of the way and be grateful! Branch Rickey said, “Never play checkers with a man who carries his own board.” The alphabetizer carries his/her own board- step aside and watch as the game is won. What’s good today? Relinquishing control to a better player, constantly increasing health and happiness with a partner.

This is a busy, happy time. A definite change in material matters is in the wind, and a stabilizing force is here today. Issues from the past, big ones, are up for review. Pay attention to your hunches and be as generous as you are able in small,

Mr. Rogers said, “If only you could sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to people you may never even dream of.” Individual initiative elevates something that had fallen and gets it going again. Hard work is fun, partnership is expanding, and a move in the right direction is stabilizing. Yes you’re dealing with matters from the past and yes certain avenues are blocked, but the current energy makes it possible to find a different route, one that has been there all along unnoticed.
