Pleasant communications brighten the day. Someone with a kind way of speaking perks up the environment. You may be the person who improves the landscape by injecting your words with hope, friendliness and compassion. In the hospital, when nurses call everyone “honey” someone invariably takes offense at the familiarity. But the choice is yours; how to respond to gestures of goodwill. When you think about it “honey” is better than “a—-hole”. Be nice! Someone’s life could be harder than you know.
