Theme: From harmony and beauty to deep probing

In the mid morning the Moon goes from Libra to Scorpio. Unfortunately this is not a happy place for our emotions, subconscious and home life. We may not like what we feel, but we do have the ability to probe deeply into problems. To make it harder, the Moon is square to Pluto, especially in the middle of the day. This will bring up compulsive tendencies and perhaps nasty power struggles with others. The best approach is to pause and be rigorously self-honest and compassionate.

Theme: Thinking Big

Jupiter is opposed to the stellium in Capricorn (Sun, Venus and Mars). We are generous in spirit and think in terms of doing big things, particularly relating to religion, philosophy and long distance travel. In the middle of the day, the Moon makes a T square which can be disorienting, as our subconscious is stimulated. Pluto continues to inch its way through Aquarius indicating first a breakdown of humanitarian values, before the renewal of them in several years.

Theme: Focus

The stellium of the Sun, Venus and Mars is as tight as they come again today. This gives a focus of energy in the style of Capricorn, which is a cardinal earth sign. So initiating practical projects, and leadership skills are favored. The part of fortune is tied in with the above mentioned celestial bodies, making today particularly lucky. As the Moon goes through the sign of Libra, we are also looking for harmony and beauty, but be patient with yourself and others in the second part of the day as emotions can overwhelm our communications then.

Theme: Yin and Yang

There continues to be the Sun, Venus and Mars in close alignment. Venus represents the more feminine energy, and Mars the masculine. This favors all relationships, not just romantic ones. Ultimately, we can balance the yin and yang within ourselves for the next week. The Moon moves into Leo in the late morning, and we turn our attention to creative self expression and play. But the Moon opposes Pluto, our subconscious drive, in the middle of the day. Expect intense emotions in ourselves and others at this time.

Theme: Full Moon and Full Heart

The exact full Moon happens early in the day. We will be energized, but will have to contend with conflicts between home and professional life, conscious and unconscious desires, and our minds and our feelings. Later in the day the Moon is conjunct Jupiter which puts us in a generous state of mind. This also supports spiritual interest and insights at an experiential level. Public speaking should go well today.

Theme: Ambition and Security

There is a lot of ambition in the air, as Mercury joins the stellium of Sun, Venus and Mars in the sign of Capricorn for the next 2 1/2 weeks. What do we want to start building this new year? We should be mindful of the extra physical energy that we have for the next couple of weeks. Don’t let your temper flare up because you have been too sedentary. The Moon enters Cancer in the morning, and remains for the next few days. We are drawn towards family and security.

Theme: Do You Know What Gets My Goat?

Today there is a close stellium in Capricorn and those born with that sign sometimes feel that they deserve better than they get. In this case it is strong, ambitious energy that rules the day. The Sun, Venus and Mars are involved. Venus is the gentlest of the group, but is not so happy in Capricorn. Mercury is still in Sagittarius so we are better with the big picture than with details. And the Moon continues in Aries. Look before you leap.

Theme: More Energy

The Sun moves into Capricorn today, so happy birthday to all young and old goats! The Sun is also starting to unite with Mars for several days, so we will have more energy and a fighting spirit. It is good to find healthy outlets for the physical energy. Sitting all day will lead to irritability. This is an excellent time to start new projects, but be careful with driving and operating machinery.

Theme: Irritable and Impulsive

The Moon and Mars are united for the first 2/3 of the day which means we can fly off the handle about something trivial. Take a deep breath, be patient and be kind. To make matters worse we are more likely to be confused because Neptune is at a right angle to the Sun. And our energy is still low but bolstered a bit by Mars in Capricorn. This is the last full day with the Sun in Sagittarius, so continue to focus on religion, philosophy and far off lands.

Theme: Low Energy Days

With the Sun square Neptune for a few days, we will have less energy than usual. This can be psychological discouragement as well. We should not expect to have the courage for bold action now. Deception is likely in relationships. The best strategy is to be realistic about any idealistic thinking that comes into our minds. Approach prayer, meditation and compassionate action this way.
