Theme: Intense Emotions

For much of the day the Moon is united with Pluto which not only intensifies emotions, but gives clear insight into them. Can we be true to our values during this time? Venus and Mars harmonize for two more weeks. This favors forming and maintaining relationships, general socializing and financial opportunities. The Sun is inconjunct Saturn today, which indicates responsibilities can seem burdensome until we make an adjustment in our approach.

Theme: Down to Earth

Especially during the middle of the day, there is a grand trine in earth signs involving the Moon, Mercury and Jupiter. This is a nice combination, giving us sensitivity and a broad overview concerning our thinking and communications. We are practical, ambitious, and comfort oriented. With the Sun joining Mars in Libra for the next 2 1/2 weeks we are focused on how we relate to others, and we seek beauty and harmony.

Theme: On the Other Hand…

Late in the evening the Sun enters Libra today, so happy birthday all Libras. Indecisiveness is a common theme, as Libras weigh the scales and can have difficulty choosing. Tensions arise, particularly in the second half of the day as the Moon makes a square aspect to the sun. Small crises arise or perhaps if we are lucky we just feel a burst of energy. The Moon enters Capricorn, and we become colder and more ambitious late in the day.

Theme: Kite Pattern

The somewhat rare kite configuration occurs particularly today with Neptune, the planet of compassion and illusion, at the top. This is a dynamic indicator of success in life, so have at it! This energy is best used for compassionate and spiritual causes. The Moon continues in Libra for one more day, and pulls us towards our past tendencies. Or we can be bold and move in a new direction.

Theme: Feisty

The Moon unites with Mars for most of the day, which can lead to heated encounters with others. We will find ourselves irritable, hasty and perhaps careless. There are times to stand up for what is right, of course. Mercury is starting to move forward, but especially with the 5 outer planets all retrograde, this continues to be a time to be patient about outward progress. The Sun opposes Neptune for several days now. If we can handle the confusion and discouragement, we can see others with more spiritual depth.

Theme: The Good Earth

There is a grand trine in earth signs, involving the Sun, Uranus and Pluto for the next several days. This is a time of stability within change: some change is sudden and some more gradual. Especially when Mercury moves forward again at 4:24 pm EDT today it is time to try new, exciting activities. The Moon is opposed to Neptune during the first half of the day, which indicates strange moods and misunderstandings, during Mercury retrogrades last hurrah.

Theme: Nurture then Play

The Moon is in its home sign, Cancer until the middle of the day. This brings out the nurturer in us. And it opposes Pluto during the first half of the day, which leads to intense interactions with others. It is a hard time to see oneself and others objectively, but much can be learned in hindsight. Then in the second half of the day, the Moon enters Leo and it is time to enjoy play, and all forms of creative self expression.

Theme: Breathing Space

Especially in the middle of the day the Moon sextiles the Sun, which gives us inner and outer harmony. With the Sun still trining Jupiter, this is a time to take action ( Mercury retrograde rules still apply) and not just rest on the easy feelings. We can see the big picture, and seem to create our own luck. Venus and Mars are also sextile which favors both new and existing relationships.

Theme: Backwards

Just when one of the 6 (out of 8) planets, Venus, stopped being retrograde, Jupiter took it’s place. Now we can be more outgoing in our relationships, but more reflective in terms of religion, philosophy and long distant travel. Jupiter is harmonizing with the Sun and Mercury for a few more days. This is a very positive transit: we are generous, broadminded and optimistic in a way that helps us succeed at what ever we attempt.

Theme: Slowdown and Savor

The Moon enters Taurus midday today. We should slow down and enjoy moments for the next few days. This is a time of emotional stability, and down to earth comforts. Venus, our relational energy, continues to retrograde in Leo. We should be generous and supportive, as we would like to be treated that way now ourselves.
