Theme: Yin, Yang and Focus

Vesta, the asteroid that indicates an increased ability to focus our minds, is united with Venus and Mars for 2 more weeks. The 2 and 1/2 month long unity of Venus and Mars in Capricorn continues into late March. Since Mars is more powerful than Venus in this sign there is a danger of aggressiveness in relationships. Can we turn towards prayer and meditation, and towards patience with others? Otherwise, socializing is favored, as is creative work. Theme: Seize the Pie

The Sun enters Pisces today. In this case the pie we want is made of compassion with wisdom icing. The Sun is joining two planets, Jupiter and Neptune that are powerful in this sign. We are still striving hard to achieve our goals, and we are coming up with new, progressive ideas. But can we turn towards prayer and meditation, and achieve the intangible? Theme: Freedom

Although the Moon is in critical, detail-oriented Virgo, it is opposed to Jupiter and trines Uranus in the middle of the day. In the words of George W Bush: “[these planets love freedom!]” We are broad-minded, generous and looking for some excitement. The Sun is spending it’s last day in Aquarius, then it is on to serve or suffer Pisces. Aside from the Moon, all the planets and the Sun are in a small section, 114 degrees in the 360 degree sky. Theme: Positive Changes

Jupiter “sextiles” (60 degrees) Uranus until the first weekend in March. This is a very beneficial combination that can result in sudden good fortune. Uranus is unpredictable though, so it is hard to know exactly what positive changes will come. Social reform is one likely outcome. Inspiration is hard to come by now, because no planets are in fire signs. Tomorrow the Moon enters Leo for a few days, which will bolster creative work. Theme: Secure then Angry

The Moon has entered Cancer for the next 2 1/2 days. Generally we feel more emotionally secure. In the middle of the day we are boosted by Jupiter, giving us joy and broad-mindedness, and then Uranus, which brings a desire for excitement. At the end of the day the Moon is opposed to Venus and Mars. This leads to irritation, but not so much because Venus softens Mars. Beware of overindulgence if naturally inclined to overdo it. Theme: Digging Deepest

Today is the peak of Mercury united with Pluto. This supports getting to the bottom of whatever we focus on. Power struggles abound and we can waste time and energy obsessed about one particular thing. The yod with the Moon at the apex, in the middle of the day can bring up deep emotional issues. Can we work through this and find a new freedom? Mars and Venus are united until the last week in March. This enhances our relationships, and our creative potential. Theme: Emotions Let Loose

With the Moon “square” Pluto for the main part of the day, we are inclined to be compulsive. Beware of others or yourself being manipulative. This can cause strong emotional reactions. Jupiter and Neptune continue to be powerful in Pisces. This is an excellent time for new insights into our religious or philosophical life, and gives us the ability to generate pure compassion. The fact that all the planets and the Sun and Moon are together in one 3rd of the sky also indicates a concentration of energy, with Pisces in the center.
