Ok, you may have overdone things and a queasy stomach can ensue. Or else you’re working so hard that you snap at others. A tendency to bicker is afoot. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “We boil at different degrees” and some folks may be boiling right now. Attend to details, wrap things up, and figure out your accounts. Take a vitamin. Clean up. Emotional satisfaction comes from the work you engage in today, so keep things as low key as is possible in these exciting times. Organize your sock drawer, clean out your desk. Avoid confrontations with co-workers, you don’t mean it and neither do they.

Leadership ability! You have it. You’re also great with kids, or on stage in some way. Hard, productive work is going on at the same time. A significant undertaking may have just been completed. Rest on your laurels. Watch out for overwork, and eat sparingly. Reading and writing are excellent, as is public speaking of any sort. The “new” is still present, and this is a wonderful time to initiate new activities. Run, work out, or invent something. Benjamin Franklin said “God helps them that help themselves”, so go ahead and help yourself!

Sharing the spotlight is good, today, since everybody is feeling this way. Compliment others sincerely. Albert Schweitzer said, “Truth has no special time of its own. Its hour is always now.” If you have done a good job, now is the time to step up and let yourself be rewarded. It’s good for both the giver and the receiver of honors to recognize what has been done. Your planning skills are extraordinarily good today. A carefully worked out project moves forward and it is a winner! Friends inspire you, and spirituality is of a new breed. Strength is present where dreams were formerly. It’s the difference between reading fairy tales versus playing football. Life has changed quickly and will not go back to the leisurely mode you were in previously. You could shock yourself with the strength and force of your speech and your positions, but this is exactly what is required now. “Powerful times require a powerful response.”

New beginning today. Think things over, don’t feel discouraged, be loyal to those you love and be creative. This is a complex and interesting day. Your brain is going so fast that you feel jittery and argumentative. If you step back you will see that something has broken loose, something that was holding you back is gone, and that you are free! You feel like a horse that has jumped the fence and is galloping off toward…..where? Direction is the key. Where are you going? You have slipped your bonds and now….? Think, plan, and you’ll move in the right direction.

I am hoping to teach on Sunday, if merit prevails. I am aware that we are growing, and that new students are coming. I would like to help them get a good foundation, and who doesn’t need more Bodhicitta training, Dzogchen View and Guru Yoga? We all do.
Kyabje His Holiness Penor Rinpoche always taught a solid foundation was necessary and resisted teaching Dzogchen for years. He felt we must rely on the Guru and taught a lot of Guru Yoga at first. But the most important thing is to give rise to Bodhicitta.
Without the preliminaries, higher Tantra cannot take root. Like seeds falling on stone, there is no way it can anchor and grow. Like a hard, dry mind, seeds cannot awaken. Even if one is completely convinced of their “realization” it is not the case. Bodhicitta is the very essence and display of Primordial Buddhanature.
Kyabje His Holiness Penor Rinpoche always displayed such kindness. Even when he was wrathful it was based on Bodhicitta, the wish to remove obstacles. And he did. In the end, I only remember the loving kindness he always showed me – his giggle, his power, his love and support, which I ache for now.

Communication is highlighted today. Force ruled previously, and now the diplomats or negotiators have arrived on the scene. You can talk through problems and make resolutions or agreements that are binding and slow down the hostilities. An aggressive energy is present, yet appeals to emotion stabilized people. Remember who and what you love, and remember who has loved you. Take these things into consideration and you will act wisely. Werner Erhard said, “You don’t need to go looking for love when it’s where you come from.” Perhaps the aggression was you looking for love?
