Theme: From harmony and beauty to deep probing

In the mid morning the Moon goes from Libra to Scorpio. Unfortunately this is not a happy place for our emotions, subconscious and home life. We may not like what we feel, but we do have the ability to probe deeply into problems. To make it harder, the Moon is square to Pluto, especially in the middle of the day. This will bring up compulsive tendencies and perhaps nasty power struggles with others. The best approach is to pause and be rigorously self-honest and compassionate.

Theme: Thinking Big

Jupiter is opposed to the stellium in Capricorn (Sun, Venus and Mars). We are generous in spirit and think in terms of doing big things, particularly relating to religion, philosophy and long distance travel. In the middle of the day, the Moon makes a T square which can be disorienting, as our subconscious is stimulated. Pluto continues to inch its way through Aquarius indicating first a breakdown of humanitarian values, before the renewal of them in several years.

Theme: Focus

The stellium of the Sun, Venus and Mars is as tight as they come again today. This gives a focus of energy in the style of Capricorn, which is a cardinal earth sign. So initiating practical projects, and leadership skills are favored. The part of fortune is tied in with the above mentioned celestial bodies, making today particularly lucky. As the Moon goes through the sign of Libra, we are also looking for harmony and beauty, but be patient with yourself and others in the second part of the day as emotions can overwhelm our communications then.

Theme: Re-grouping

The Moon is directly opposite the Saturn/Neptune conjunction today so, in combination with the extended Void of Course Moon today you can go more gently and less railing against the systems that cause frustration and delays today until more auspicious conditions arise. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t continue your efforts – just moderate your expectations. With the Sun, Mars and Venus all nestled together at 17 degrees of Capricorn it is a timely reminder that we can be our own friends (or enemies) in integrating planetary energy. This conjunction steers us towards purposeful actions wedded to an innate understanding of the importance of leadership, humility and empowered relationships in sustainable outcomes. We have more staying power and endurance with this conjunction. Combined with the Moon in Virgo the element of earth is predominant. Theme: Merit

The Sun is exactly conjunct Venus today infusing the day with a good dose of love, affection and even an opportunity for celebration. Venus, like Jupiter, brings good fortune which, from another perspective, are the results of past good actions. Of course Mars remains nearby – but benefic Venus outweighs the tendency for Mars to be over-controlling and self-absorbed versus Venus where ‘sharing is caring’. Mars is conjunct the Sun funneling energy into all activities. Mars energy is part of our life-force but inherently selfish and geared for survival, so the question is what is your motivation in your actions and achieving desired outcomes? Theme: Yin and Yang

There continues to be the Sun, Venus and Mars in close alignment. Venus represents the more feminine energy, and Mars the masculine. This favors all relationships, not just romantic ones. Ultimately, we can balance the yin and yang within ourselves for the next week. The Moon moves into Leo in the late morning, and we turn our attention to creative self expression and play. But the Moon opposes Pluto, our subconscious drive, in the middle of the day. Expect intense emotions in ourselves and others at this time.

Theme: Full Moon and Full Heart

The exact full Moon happens early in the day. We will be energized, but will have to contend with conflicts between home and professional life, conscious and unconscious desires, and our minds and our feelings. Later in the day the Moon is conjunct Jupiter which puts us in a generous state of mind. This also supports spiritual interest and insights at an experiential level. Theme: Ambition and Security

There is a lot of ambition in the air, as Mercury joins the stellium of Sun, Venus and Mars in the sign of Capricorn for the next 2 1/2 weeks. What do we want to start building this new year? We should be mindful of the extra physical energy that we have for the next couple of weeks. Don’t let your temper flare up because you have been too sedentary.
