Theme: Pleasant, Social and Intuitive

The trine between Venus and Jupiter is almost exact today, which has mostly beneficial ramifications. The only down side is a possible tendency to sit around and be lazy and indulgent. Social occasions are favored today. And financially, it indicates good results. It is also a good day to begin a trip. The fact that both planets are in water signs gives our intuition a boost. The Moon in Taurus has a stabilizing effect on our mood and emotions as well.

Theme: From Fiery to Earthy

Today the Moon remains in fiery Aries until the evening when it moves into earthy Taurus. So our emotions, and subconscious change quickly for most of the day. It is helpful in being productive if we can balance it with enough patience. Then the Moon will be exalted in Taurus for a few days, and we will feel more secure emotionally. Mercury, representing our communication and thought, will continue to slow down until the next Mercury retrograde cycle in 5 days.

Theme: Exact!

Saturn has caught up exactly with Neptune in the first degree of Aries today. This combination makes things seem worse than they are. But can we integrate the energies? We could strike out in a new spiritual direction and bring it down to earth. The Pisces and Aries placements of many planets support new spiritual action. For several days Venus trines Jupiter which is a nice combination, but we should watch out for overindulging.

Theme: Partial action stations!

The Moon moves into Aries today bringing a change of pace – although with the Sun, Venus and Mercury remaining in Pisces there is still a lot of unconscious swirling of the psyche that periodically rises to the surface allowing you to identify the source of your feelings. It is a good time for meditation and retreat. Having said that the Moon will conjunct Saturn/Neptune stirring the pot of activity – often unanticipated. Aim to connect with your heart to help balance things.

Theme: Immersion

The Sun has moved into Pisces and together with three other celestial bodies in Pisces, Venus, Moon and Mercury, it’s an open invitation to re-connect inwardly with your psyche. In other words, re-connect with your heart and feelings, and ultimately compassion in its purest form. The flip side of Pisces is avoidance and addiction and losing oneself in a kind of forgetting of one’s true nature.

The Lunar New kicks off today and, along with a new moon, brings the fresh breeze of a Fire Horse Year. The Fire Horse is closely associated with the planet Jupiter so expect some beneficial outcomes this year and an expansion of your view this year. Of course it can be a wild ride at times. The New Year coincides with an annual solar eclipse so today is an important day to be mindful as it is influential in establishing/magnifying personal themes (astrologically speaking) until the next annual solar eclipse.
